"Briefing here at 9:00.", states a posted sign on the restaurant door, together with a furry St. Bernard, who has evidently spent the night here, and it's just the two of us. It's already five minutes after nine when the first pilots along with organizers begin turning up and by the looks of the western horizon and the latest weather forecast it starts to look like an afternoon competition in landing precision. No one, then, is hurrying anywhere and those whose stomachs can take it after yesterday's party, sit in front of the bed & breakfast Spiežovec on the children's merry-go-round.
The sun is shining meanwhile, but the sky starts to cloud over from the West quickly. After the ride up to the starting ground of Nová hola there is a short discipline announced, but just before 2p.m. the wind increases and the situation starts to look so much like rain that the discipline is cancelled. So while some ride the cable car down, others, with flaps shut, fly down to the landing ground as it begins to rain.

Half an hour later a light rain turns into a steady shower and flying is over. The awaited front didn't disappoint after all. The forecast for the following days, is very good however, which is intimated as well by the two Czech pilots who have signed up for the race today. They were delayed by a day due to car trouble, and unfortunately, it was a day that counted.
The evening party this time is moved to the fire pit at Camp Kamzík and sausages are replaced by chickens, basted in red wine. Superb!
In the overall placement, then, there were no changes, only the lower difficulty coefficient of the race increased the number of points gained by each pilot yesterday. This was at least a sort of band-aid on today's showers.
