Thursday 23/10
The sky is clearly blue just as yesterday and before eight o'clock in the morning there are some canopies shining high above the beach. An hour later several pilots are packing their stuff eagerly and are looking forward to get up.
Jeep is jolting on the stony serpentine road that is zigzagging up to the hillside of Babadag and the chief organizer of the festival Kadri Tuglu is showing us the local curiosities. "There are growing Pines and these are cedar trees - and we have got much more of them than in all Lebanon, and from those little fruits we make gin." I am slowly looking at the kohlrabies
There is much stronger wind on the peak of the range today, and the take off is beginning from the lower starting field in the altitude of 1700m. The wind is slack and southern about 4m/s - just a perfect day.

The afternoon temperature rises high and the thermometer shows 29°C. We had similar heat like this on the festival two years ago. The star of today's hot afternoon is Tomas Lednik again with his acrobatic appearance - he got an orange smoke candle, which smokes a lot even after the show. Willing organisers are dealing with the situation by poking the thing briskly into the sand; fortunately they are leaving Tomas on the surface.
The acrobatic competition is going on today with its semi-final part and as usually we don't miss out the unplanned falls into the sea. The unannounced fight for successful landing on the top of the huge air tin (the one with the sponsor's advert) can after quite good attempts finish with frontal collision to the soft rubber face and that is followed with undignified rollover of the whole four metres long monster into the sand.
