Sunday, May 5
From dawn the sky has been gradually clouding over with Sirius clouds. The temperature is noticeably lower than it was yesterday and the southeast wind has lessened dramatically.

Just shortly after ten the familiar faces begin to appear atop Stranik, arriving directly from camp Varin. Some are sweaty other lighter in the wallets and other valuables. Unusually clever thieves are active in the campground, who seem to be able, in addition to robbing unoccupied tents, to steal from sleeping campers in the middle of the night without awakening them.

Slovak coach Miro Janciar brings his five-member team up to Stranik. And as the sky is seems to by quickly darkening in the West, some racers immediately unpack in an attempt to wrest at least an hour in the air from the day.

"When everyone around you is losing their mind and you're still calm, it means you've missed something.", comments Radek Simonik on the situation at Stranik. Several pilots are desperately trying to come down in the increasing wind, beneath threatening dark cloud bases and it is evidently more difficult than getting up. At 12:30 Michal Orlin declares today a non-competing day and the show is over.

Evidently after a look at the warring, black clouds, one of the racers has finally decided to use the little outhouse at the edge of the wood. Surprisingly though, he refuses to leave the door open, so the picture is only of the outside, without sound.

Tomorrow a cold front should gradually move across, so the announcement of a competing discipline will only come as a miracle.
