    Heavy downpours last night caused the waters of the Hron River to rise even more and the nearby town of Banská Bystrica a third degree flood warning is in effect. The clouds have parted slightly in the morning, at times the sun is even visible and a relatively brisk wind is blowing from the South. The decision regarding today's discipline is postponed until 11:30 when , in light of the approaching rain, Michal Oravec declares today a non-competing day, and offers an excursion to the Ironworks of Podbrezová for pilots.

    And while Hungarian pilots gladly sign up, Czech pilots have loaded up and are heading East, to try the sheltered and, for them, unknown crest over Hrhov, near Kosice, which faces the southern direction of the wind.

    The number of racers on the start list has settled at 76 names from eight different countries. The largest teams are the Czech (20) and Slovak (21).
