It seem to me the best weather was waiting for the very last day of the competition and inhabitants of Castelo as well. They set out for the trip up to the taking off point in the morning and their bodies are forming a massive barrier behind the pilots now.
Inspite of the great conditions today's task is shorter, 53 kilometers only, due to necessity of a computing the results and an announcing the winners this evening. Similarly, the organiser assumes most of pilots in the goal and therefore the fetching them can be much easier.

The record number of 116 pilots reaches the goal at last. Rudi Untermoser from Austria is the fastest pilot, Olympio Faissol from Brazilia finishes as the second and Stefan Wyss from Switzerland is the third. The winner of the total ranking of the first PWC is Christian Maurer from Switzerland (the last year's winner) and Czech boys Tomas Brauner and Martinem Orlik. Ewa Wiesnierska wins hte women category, Karin Appenzeller is the second and Noriko Mizunuma finishes as the third.
