While an organ storms in the church under Stranik hill and Saturday's evening mass of villagers comes slowly to the end, pilots in front of a large projection screen in a hangar on the top of Stranik hill start to be short of chairs. The ice hockey match of Czechs against Slovak players is just beginning.
"It's coming now!" a major Slovak part of pilots persistently supports their players but Czechs score five times while Slovaks succeed ones only.
In contrast to the last year's competition pilots could fly this sunny afternoon after all though after a front passing during the last night a cloudbase formed only 500 meters above the top of Stranik hill. But a weather forecast tells the next front comes quickly from the west side thus it seems to be possible that the first briefing of the competition will take place inside the hangar in a rainy weather tomorrow and pilots will be short of chairs again. But there's no problem to consume steaks and sausages standing and a beer as well. The ice hockey match will start at eight again.

Sunday 08.05.05
Only a smoldering fireplace beside the hangar, a jar full of cucumbers and an empty bottle of Muller Thurgau wine remembers yesterday's night this morning. The sky is covered with clouds completely but it isn't rain. Nobody throngs to register by the table of Michal Orolin. No surprise at all, a slight snowfall slowly turns to heavy one and a temperature varies several degrees above zero only.
This day is claimed to be a free day and 80 registered pilots will meet at 11 o'clock tomorrow again.
"The thermos flask is a great invention, hot remains hot and cold remains cold - now I have a coffee and an ice lolly inside it," one of pilots jokes and after the afternoon match when Slovak ice hockey players beat Swisses it comes up to a dramatic match Czechs against Russians. A comfortable chair and a plentitude of right liquids proves to be the most important matter now. By the way, I'd never believe the combination of Moravian Saint Vincence wine and Slovakian home-made cake can be as delicious.
