Tuesday 09.05.06
"My experience tells me, that the bad forecast always comes true but the good one never does," Radek Simonik prophesies and the morning sky looks beautiful without any clouds. In contrast to yesterday, the wind slowed down significantly and nobody considers moving to Martinske hole at all.

"It's great and it can't be better," Juraj Kleja brings an optimism among pilots shortly before noon while overdeveloped clouds eclipse the sun and a rain is going to fall. The briefing at a taking off point must be interrupted prematurely and the whole racing field rusches in a hailing towards a hangar.

 Sleepy weather

The situation improves significantly one hour after noon, clouds formations fade and the new task is declared at ten to two. Unfortunately, the wind blows from the north-west side after the rain showers and no thermal activity can be found in the cold air.

Neither one hour later the situation doesn't change very much and what is more, the rain showers start to appear along the declared route. Organisers decide to cancel taday's task shortly before 3 p.m. at last and they warmly invite all of pilots to the party which will take place in Varin camp at 7 p.m. Maybe this very drinking of alcohol will reconcile God and the weather will improve finally tomorrow.
